Saint Alphonsus Parish has served Caring for Friends™, formerly known as Aid for
Friends ministry since the late 1970s. It is one of the largest food banks and most
comprehensive senior meal delivery programs in the area. This meal program mainly
serves but is not limited to, homebound seniors and veterans. With a network of
individual and group volunteers and affiliated caring organizations, Caring for
Friends serves the entire 5-county greater Philadelphia area including Bucks,
Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties.
How you can help:
Here at St. Alphonsus Parish, using trays provided, volunteer to make healthy
simple meals at home or in a group. Deliver frozen meals to the Saint Alphonsus
Freezer located in the Narthex Kitchen Closet. Contact Dolores at 267-767-8366
with any questions.
Volunteer to deliver meals to an elderly shut-in, weekly or bi-weekly. Contact the
Caring for Friends Office 215-464-2224 for details.
